Mugshot Name: Dane Preece - Role: Music Direction

Training: Dane read music at Nottingham University, where he was organ scholar in his first year, and followed this with a year of postgraduate study on piano at the Birmingham Conservatoire. He has worked as a soloist (including many concerto appearances), accompanist and repetiteur and was a regular member of the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company music staff from 1992 until its closure in 2003.

Dane is a part-time repertoire coach on the musical theatre course at the Royal Academy of Music in London, and piano tutor and musical theatre coach at the Birmingham Conservatoire, which has awarded him an Hon BC.
